The Energy Analysis Department have been studying the aspects of the energy use in the United States, which includes the energy of all appliances from commercial and residential buildings, the industry, the public sector, electricity markets, and transmission and distribution company's. This department analyzes the effect of the proposed policy measures on the energy use, and then apply their research in the energy analysis to the
global energy end, this will include the new effects of the policies to extenuate carbon dioxide emissions and the climate change. The interdependency of water and energy will use this in its emerging areas.

The EETD (the environmental technologies division) have been conducting a broad program of research with these certain goals in mind; to reduce the energy that is used for conditioning ventilation in the air in all the buildings, and improving indoor air quality, thermal pleasance and productivity of building tenants, understanding the human exposure to the environmental pollutants that are found in the indoors and outdoors environment, and to go along with that of improving the scientific understanding the factors and the process of the air quality. Developing a sound science to let the public know about the most given ways of reducing the hazardous air pollutants.

The research has been conduct on energy efficient ventilation systems, air cleaning, particle control, and health and productivity in all commercial buildings. The methods included in a controlled laboratory study, extensive field studies, and reviews of syntheses data.

Research on the airflow and the pollutants in the transport experimental and modeling research, this is so the public will understand about the airborne pollutants in our buildings. This work is because they want to reduce the health risks, as well as to improving energy efficiency and tenants pleasure.

The research tells us that the size, composition and sources of biologically active dust mites, effective control strategies, and the role of particles in the climate and making sure we have clear visibility.

The research has been assessing the indoor environmental risk factors for the health benefits. Experiments and data are looked at and how the indoor environmental quality will influence the human work performance.

Computer models of the pollutants and air toxicity in the indoor and outdoor places, do not say that there is dust particles and that the results of human exposure is adequate, thus informing the public to control these particles, which will require better understanding on the publics part.

Research on humans and the harmful affects that we are doing to the environment, this work will focus on the development and use of exposure measurement methods and in the health risks, the chemical transport and the transformation in the environment, along with the health and environmental impacts of energy, industrial, and agricultural systems.

The research that was conducted is here to characterize and better understand the sources of airborne volatile, semi-volatile and particulate organic pollutants in the indoors. This includes the emissions studies and the studies of the physical and chemical processes that regulate indoor air pollutants. This is to help reduce the human health effects.

The regional air quality is about the; Controlling of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and volatile organic compounds, then it is to manage tropospheric ozone pollution. The hazardous air pollutants that use science to base the standards on the studied risks.
